Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. She spent most of her youth listening to classical music and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic music, as well classic classical music. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. She has been involved with a number of local projects and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
