Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 1982) is a famous American actress. She is most famously known for her role appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Born in Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, and Sherrybaby (a dramatic) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Awards. She had a number of commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who has a child earned her nomination to the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she was a part of comedies and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Her other roles include an agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013), a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's first film as a filmmaker and writer took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama in which she won the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. She also won the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
